Senior Community Manager

Leading the Community Team and reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be building, owning and overseeing the overall community-building strategy, together with your team of marketing experts.

As the Senior Community Manager, you will play a mentorship role to key marketing team members, assisting in the daily execution of their function and ensuring that their professional skills are consistently growing.


This role’s mission is to introduce Guardrails to the market successfully by building effective community strategies and using the best practices in community-building. This role will own all engagement-related metrics over online and offline channels.

Accountabilities, Goals and Outcomes

  • Build and implement a strong developer-focused and industry leader-focused community-building strategies both online and offline, with active, contributing members
  • Own engagement and conversion success metrics including: number of community members, followers, number of member contributions and engagements, community engagement rates, PR engagements, partnerships created, and the like

Your Responsibilities

  • Train, mentor and supervise your Community team members including the: Social Media & Influencer Associate, Partnerships & PR Senior Associate, and the Community & Events Senior Associate.
  • Setting and implementing social media and engagement campaigns to align with community-building strategies
  • Release and distribute all assets and content produced by the Communications & Branding team to the applicable medium and channel
  • Organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness
  • Respond to all engagements of both community members and customers in a timely manner
  • Build and scale membership and following on a weekly basis
  • Monitor, track and report on feedback and online reviews
  • Organize and manage both offline and online events to boost brand awareness
  • Coordinate with the Online Marketing and Communications & Branding to align all engagement activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, industry professionals, media, and community followers
  • Maintain daily active engagements with the community by ensuring constant activity across all channels
  • Stay up to date with all current community activities, engagements and trends in the industry
  • ​​Measure and report on owned KPIs and engagement success metrics

You pretty much have the job if

  • You’ve held a senior role for at least 1 year as a community manager or a similar role in a B2B industry
  • You’ve managed at least 1 direct report
  • You have a good understanding of our industry and knows how to apply the best practices in community building and management
  • You have experience in creating and implementing your own content and branding marketing strategies and owning budget and spend
